Born in 1972 Govindaraju is a strong believer in the future of India. He represents the youth of the country and believes that youngsters needs to play an important role in Nation building. He joined Congress party and he was hand picked by Mr Krishna Byre Gowda , the dazzling youth leader , to work towards state development activities.
Govindaraju’s views on Society
India is the most diverse nation in the world. He feels equally responsible for the progress of generations behind him and the well being generations ahead of him. Govindaraju represents the energy of the nation prevalent in the youth. This energy when guided by the wisdom of the old leads to faster growth of the nation.
A balanced growth is his dream for our nation. Rural India should grow with Urban India and this is essential for sustainable growth. Inclusive growth is a challenge and Govindaraju vows to work towards this. He realises that one important contributor to growth is the unity within the society. A society beyond religion and caste is his dream.
Areas of Interest
Areas of important interest have been support of working families, public education and healthcare. He urges for good healthcare .He is practical, common sense and progressive thinker who emphasises increased support for poor, women, youth and senior citizens.
Growth without education is not achievable. Gavindaraju realises this well and understands how educations shapes the nations.
He respects all religions and conducts samuhika poojas, Vishnu Sahasranama, Lalita Sahasranama and Soundarya Lahiri every year. He sees religious functions as way to meet people and understand their concerns. Along with these rituals he organises other cultural and entertainment programmes which extends for a week. During this period Annadana is performed to more than 1500 people.
He frequently organises trips to various temples wherein more than 2000 people are made to visit important temples. This holds him in high esteem in the society.

- Was involved in door to door fund collected to provide relief for recent flood victims
- As a part of Social fulfilment, identified needy people and got their forms filled for Sandhya Surakha Yojna Scheme making them obtain their voter Id cards, Pension cards, Widow Pension Cards etc.
- Celebrates each Independence day by distributing ration to the gathered audience.
- Conducted 50 team Nadaswara programme to spread cultural awareness
- On Gandhi Jayanti day he celebrate by organising and participating in Blood donation camps
- Creates awareness by persuading parents to participate in Pulse Polio programme
- On Kannada Rajyothsava he provides financial aid to Porters
